I bought a quart of coconut oil to try and duplicate the recipe
for a sauce from a local dive. This wasn't the missing mystery
    ingredient.

I know it coconut oil makes for great popcorn, and I plan to make
some shallot oil for some SE asian recipes.

What else is coconut oil especially good for?

It's amazing about how a few mostly unscientific artciles from
decades ago can get so exaggerated.

But that's not what I'm here to argue. I'm going to use whether
anyone here likes it or not.

We're 0 for 7 for suggestions... and counting, I'm sure... Even
the Googlers and trolls get a better useful response rate than
    this.

You want twenty responses that all say, "Sorry; haven't used it"?

I mean, that's all the response you would've gotten from me, and I'm
    sure many others.

Since when do we answer that way? We usually either answer with
something useful for honest and legible questions. I was
referring to the number of responses without anything directly
    related to recipes or suggestions.

IOW, Zero responses would have been just fine.
