I am not in favour of high meat consumption but to be honest I have to admit
that there are some countries that are doing pretty well in spite of high
meat consumption. Argentina, Australia and Spain have a very high meat
consumption and quite a high life expectancy.

I think that the type of meat might have some influence over diseases
    such as CVD.

    Website http://www.allcountries.org/uscensus/1370_per_capita_consumption_of_meat_and.html
shows the the consumption of pork, poultry, and beef for a variety of
    countries.
