There are some studies that show that genes do not cause obesity and other
studies that show that genes do cause obesity. I doubt if we will know for
sure until scientists find the exact gene that does obesity. It's my guess
that even if scientists never find the gene, that hormones (in some cases)
can cause obesity to develop. Of course, almost anyone that eats lots of
high fat foods for many years will develop obesity and in those cases,
genes and/or hormones did cause the obesity. I know a person in high
school that had obesity problems. She ate low fat foods every day but was
not able to lose weight. It's my guess that a gene or hormones caused her
case of obesity. We all know people that eat low fat foods but can not
lose weight. What is your opinion about this subject?
