A good study.
Imflammation -- and inflammatory blood-borne factors -- is now
implicated in many neurological/immune conditions/reactions, which
impact brain function.

Any substance that does not have immediate toxic effects and inhibits
arachidonic acid will appear to be "beneficial." The key question
here concerns long-term health effects, and in this context, fish oil
appears to be very "bad news." For example:QUOTE: In "Diet and Health," by the National Research Council, page
192, they say: "...it has not been established that inake of omega-3
fish oils per so will reduce the risk of CHD ["heart disease"].
Furthermore, it is not known whether long-term ingestion of these
PUFAs will lead to undesirable side effects. The information available
does not support a rcommendation to use fish oil supplements to reduce
the risk of CHD." They also note that the use of the native
Greenlander diet as an example of the supposed benefits of fish oil
need to be considered more carefully, since these people "...usually
die before middle age." And they point out a basic and disturbing
biochemical fact that many medical doctors are not even aware of, that
is "...the extreme susceptibility of the omega 3 fatty acids in fish
oil to oxidation." Page 601. UNQUOTE.You can see more of this kind of information on my fish oil page (on
my free site):http://groups.msn.com/TheScientificDebateForum-/fishoilquotesyoushouldread.msnw
I suggest (and have done so myself) simply removing the arachidonic
acid from your cells, which can take two years, but after you do it,
you don't have to worry about "chronic" and/or "inflammatory"
diseases.
