  1. well it's been about a year since I've been here. Lots has happened since then. Last race I did was the Argus, just missed a sub 4 ๐Ÿ™, since then I havnt trained much, just the odd ride here and there. Reason being is I bought a house and got married. But I did get to ride my bike on honeymoon. We did a 15 km ride through the Knysna forests. absolutely stunning.

I wont be doing the 94.7 because of my lack of training. But have gotten back on the bike this week and am training hard for the H2H.

Anyway, hope to be back more often, reason I was gone was cause of my dead slow international bandwidth. but it looks like we have sorted out the problems.

Hope everyone is well. I'll be trying to browse through all the old threads and get up to date.

  2. Welcome back. Be sure to dig up all the old controversial threads so we can get back to the business of flaming each other. Things been kinda slow lately.

  3. I got married in 1990 and slowly went from 230 miles a week to 0 in 8 years or so. A year ago I came back to cycling and brought my wife with me. Not doing 200 plus a week yet but we are working on it. Don't make my mistake and quit. it is a long hard climb back but worth it.

  4. Good to see you got your wife involved. It's good not only for your relationship, but her health as well ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Welcome back ouzo! Good to hear from old friends again.

thanks Vo2. It's good to be back. It's just that I'm struggling to get back into training. Plus I lost all my previous cycling logs when my PC took a hit from lightning. So I cant even go back and proove to myself that it's a long process to get back to fitness.

Also I'm having to train on the indoor trainer as the times I get home does not allow me to go out on the road. This makes motivation even harder. But I WONT GIVE UP. The wife has a mountain bike so we will be doing a ride every sunday too.

  7. Howzit going Dude,

I've also been on a bit of a cyclingforums sabbatical due to time constraints and work pressure. Haven't given up on the bike though. Still managing between 12 - 15 hours a week. Perhaps we'll see each other at the track soon.

that all fine and dandy but, do you pee off your bike?

  9. Hi Ouzo,

    Welcome back friend.๐Ÿ™‚

Congrats on the marriage, does change life a bit hey! Don't worry about the training, that makes two of us.

Also not doing the 94.7 but will be hard at training for the H2H.

    Have a nice one!
