He is making them in Melbourne at crown casino.
Gazza Gate and THE french have an equivalent of THE, why does he leave
it out every time?
Put fish in oil.
NO:

At least he wasn't in Southbank this time, unless they hired a bobby
and brought him over.

sadly it is in Southbank, that red bridge behind is a cross river car park entry and the bobby is a stooge extra.

I'm sure they hired a bobby outfit too. To be fair we don't get many
police men who wear those hats anymore.

He started with "fish and chips are the most popular meal in the UK".
I thought it was now curry?
(Not that I want to see Gary Gatto making curry in the middle of the TdF.)

Wrong. It's curry & chips
Gabriel Gate on the tour would have to be one of more bizarre segments in Australia TV. Cooking show in the middle of sports broadcast?
Personal it doesn't worry me too much, couple minutes and it's over. But after three years now of Le taste of le tour I've yet to hear someone say that segment really adds something to tour coverage.
But lets not complain too much about SBS. I watch ABC and Nine news last night, and the tour did even get mention. 🙁 Surprising considering that the tour only second to Olympics and World Cup in the world of sports events.

Don't mind Gate, except when I know this is going to be a really
important stage or when breakaways are likely to be happening early.
I *really* dislike how SBS have managed to seperate the broadcasts and
bring SA & WA in late, but still haven't managed to separate them such
that we don't get the "welcome to SA" and then "welcome to WA viewers"
messages and wrapups. Although it did come in handy lastnight when I
didn't make sense of an event first time around.

You wouldn't close the Champs-Élysées for a mere Olympics. Or get a
million people out onto the street to watch either of olympics or
football. When the SBS website crashed very soon after the ad for the
cycling central shop lastnight (I bought Zinn's art of roadbike
maintenance 🙂, I was wondering just how their ratings must be, even
in Australia. Not as high as the Ashes, I'll grant you, but hopefully
they learnt their lesson from last time.

Me too. Maybe SBS should work spent money on there broadcasting process before there special Tour website.

I agree. The Tour [censored] all over Olympics and World Cup. I was just speaking general turns, numbers watching on TV and the like.

In the West australian Stuey got nearly 2 inches of tiny print for
winning the Paris Roubaix, but there was a whole page handed to the
'Tour takes backseat to drugs' type of stuff.
And to whinge a bit more, try finding out about your AFL teams most
recent game when you don't support West Coast or Freo. Even if your
tem beats West Coast, you just get 'This is how the eagles lost it'
not Gee, Hawthorn played well.
Anyway.. back to G. Gate. He's a tool. Why can't they get G. Ramsay?
I'd make a special effort to stay up *really* late to watch that.

Scottish ex soccer player and chef? Comes from the land of the deep fried mars bar and deep fried pizza in batter? Abuses [censored] out of anyone close by when he has a tanty?
Get him to cook all the meals for the commentary team. I'd pay to see him making them eat their dinner!

Im waiting for when they bring back his retarded looking brother the "gendarme" for a bit more cooking magic.

Although the tours going nowhere near Italy this year, spag bol probably would be more appropriate. 😉

I must get a different SBS to you guys. I've never seen GG during the tour
coverage. Never saw him last year either. Also don't get any 'welcome to WA
viewers' or stuff like that. I get my SBS from Fox sattelite, does that make
a difference?
