American midwest: For TV, I'll have to rely on OLN (or VS) coverage with comments by Phil and Paul, and the occasional nonsense by Bobke. This is ok for the race itself, but hardly sufficient when it comes to controversial issues such as politics and doping. Fortunately, I can read several other languages well enough (it comes with my job) to benefit from many European news outlets.

I'm in the UK, trying to find out all the coverage options. So far I have;

ITV4 (digital aerial free-to-air) showing 4 or 5 hours live on Saturdays / Sundays and 2 hour highlight shows on weekdays with Gary Imlach host, Ned Boulting features and Phil & Paul commentating.
Also some limited coverage on the main ITV channel.

British Eurosport on Sky Digital (digital satellite subscription service) showing 5 or 6 hours everyday.

German Eurosport on an old Analogue Satellite (no subscription), with English commentary option.

Will prolly stick with ITV4 unless I can get hold of an old analogue system.

OK. I'm from central Europe. Every day I'll have the choice of live coverage from

German channel ZDF, French channels France2/France3, Swiss, RAI1 from Italy, Austria, Belgian, sorry no Dutch.

Best coverage definitely the French one with 4 cams on bikes and 3 guys commenting on separate bikes too (among them Laurent Jalabert, who has a real good feeling for riders). The thrill is when they are uphill, and Jalabert in the back of the peloton (on motorbike) starts yelling: X is in a bad day, Y is left behind by peloton while camera shows you front riders. Eurosport and others (Radio Tour) are always 1 minute behind with those comments. That's when you can make a lot of money out of British bookies who haven't got a clue, but...oops...off topic

Same coverage here in southwest USA on cable, but from anywhere in the online world with broadband you can watch most protour events at on www.cyclingfans.com No regastration, No fees No logon, Just fans helping other fans get there fix.
