This subject has been discussed before, but not recently. A recent job change has put a big crimp in my riding. (I'm now a M-F, 7-5 kind of guy--after 20 years of a compressed work schedule.) I need lights if I'm going to stay in shape for the weekend rides. I'm looking for a rechargeable system that will give me illumination for a minimum of 2 hours. I expect to reach speeds of approximately 25mph (downhill.) I'm impressed with the specs of products from Light and Motion, Jet Lights and Turbocat. Any experience with these products? Comments/suggestions most welcome.

don't skimp on lights. I have a L&M commuter and it is not enough for over about 10mph. I am working with fellows to setup a overpowered halogen system it will cost far less have a far better charger and I can choose my bulbs and all.

Although a bit pricey, I've been really pleased with Turbocat. I've used the single, helmet-mounted model. For the kind of speeds you're talking I'd go with the dual light system, though. Regardless, it's nicely made, durable and well thought out.

I've had good results with the Light & Motion Dual Apex (or some such model name - 2 head light). The 15W light will run 2.5 hours on a charge. Excellent customer service from these folks also.
