I just bought a new bike today it is a hybrid by Specialized it's called simply "Globe". For those of you out there with a small budget like mine this bike will not break the bank, most importantly your bank. At the LBS where I bought the bike it cost $410.00. I switched out the Specialized tires it came with and put on 28" road tires. The tires did not cost me a dime they just switched them out for me since it was Specialized tires for Specialized tires. Anyway I am new at hybrids or road bikes but I know I am very happy with my purchase. So maybe this can help someone who is looking for a bike to realize not all bikes are expensive, are there better ones than the one I got.....yes but I am happy and I want to ride, isn't that how a bike should make you feel.🙂

I was looking at the GLOBE as well, but decided to buy a TREK 7.3FX instead. I was willing to spend around $70.00 more then the GLOBE because it fit me better and had more bang for the buck.
Next year I'm going to buy my first road bike. I'm thinking about starting out with th Specialized Allez. Any comments???

The Allez is a good bike and its design was based on the Roubaix. I test road one last year and it felt great. I didn't buy it because my LBS had a Tarmac Comp from the previous year that he offered to me for the same price as the Allez I rode.Rob
