    Hi! I need some advice/feedback in picking out my wifes first roadbike. (I'm an intermediate rider myself, so not totally oblivious to what to look for...) We recently went to check out the 2007 Specialized Dolce Comp... great looking bike (wife loved the look, colors, etc..) This is the one here:

    My question though is, are the 105 Shimano derailleurs worth the $1500 the LBS wants for the bike..? Someone told me that the '07 105's are "like a '04-05 Ultegra"... is there any truth in that..?

    I really liked the wheelset it comes with (based on that they're Mavics, they should be pretty good, right?)

    Any other bikes anyone would recommend we look at too?

    Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
