  1. The Continental Contact on my front wheel suffered its first puncture this morning after 9 months.

    wiggle.co.ukv2 product detail.asp

It was pierced by a 5mm shard of glass, but unlike on previous occasions when I've got rid of any
tyre that has punctured and fitted a different make to get to the "perfect" tyre, I'm keeping this
one - I've been impressed with it otherwise.

It's gone about its job without any fuss, sitting there day after day exuding quiet solidity -until
tohis morning, so it deserves a second chance. Anymore though and it's going to be this Schwalbe on
    both the rear and front.

So you will, I presume, claiming from Wiggle given that the website states "Tyre comes with a 1 year
    antipuncture guarantee"?

I was thinking of it, but can't be bothered for a few quid. Simon

I actually had a Continental Top Touring puncture the other day
    !
A wedge-shaped glass splinter (why don't we demand a bottle deposit law?) went through
several threads of the canvas, even though the tyre was less than five years old and still
    had visible tread !

What is the world coming to?

  5. My Conti Top Touring 2000s have been on the rims for about 3000 miles and no punctures yet, touch
rubber ;-) There is no better tyre for puncture avoidance.

My last panaracer pasela did 10,000 miles on the rear sans punctures. And the sidewalls were still
    intact :-)

    cheers, clive
