Mayo has now been cleared by the UCI who now states they released the news of his implied doping too soon before completing findings.
Petacci and Piepoli are still under investigation at this time.
The UCI is if nothing else consistent in their attempt to be the biggest farce in the sports world.

First they should not even know this occurred and second why report something that is actually not a positive test unless you want to make cycling look as bad as possible. The media has found an easy whipping boy that won't take money out of their pockets. The most obvious recent proof is Puerto, 200+ athletes, but we only hear about the 50 or so cyclists. I agree!I have been writing to sports journalists and challenging them to write about the doping that is swept under the carpet of so many other sports.

I agree. The UCI would have to be the worst governing body in sport at the moment.
