I've been checking this forum out for awhile and really like it, so thought I'd post my first ?
I recently bought a 1991 Schwinn Aluminum 594 in like-new condition. While I was changing pedals I noticed a decal with a big P and the words “Paramount Design Group” around the P. Would my bike be considered a Schwinn Paramount? If anyone has any info on the 594 please let me know. Thanks for the help!!

I purchesed a 594 in 1991, it's still my primary ride. The bike is a 594, Paramount Design Group is just that, a design. It's like a designer label in clothing.

Hi Xsmoker! I bought my 1991 594 smoker last week at a yard sale. The bike is in excellent (Like New) shape. The original owner gave me a Schwinn 1991 catalog with the bike. I looked through the catalog, but I didn't see a Schwinn Paramount; so that is why I thought my 594 (PDG) was a Paramount. Thanks for the reply!

I dug up my original receipt, $569.00 US. Not a bad deal. What did you give at the yard sale?
