Cycle computer

Hello Kenneth, great name by the way! Most of the traffic lights in the US are infrared rather than radio controlled, however, there is a good possibility that you are picking up errant radio waves from your traffic lights in the U.K. I have had problems passing a local repair shop that uses radio dispatch for thier repairmen and have received some strange readings on my computer. Feels kind of good to look down and see the max speed pop up, even if there is no way I could produce 45 MPH. Unfortunately there is no way that I know of to shied your computer receiver from errant radio waves without shielding it from your transmitter. I do know that there is supposed to be a fairly tight cone for receiver placement and they are not supposed to be able to work outside that cone. My suggestion would be that you contact the U.K. representative for the unit that you have and see what they say about it. It may be as simple as moving the receiver a little.

Interesting, today was the first time I have seen this. I was riding along at 22mph when the computer all of a sudden displayed 10.4mph then a few seconds later went back up to the 20's.

The computer did this a few time during today's ride. My computer is a Cateye.
