Will it say Shimano on each part? Looked at a bike tonight at a Dunham's here in Michigan that had a 'Shimano' sticker on a part of the bike, lower between the crank and the rear hub. I looked at the parts but the name was not stamped on any of it. The bike was a Columbia, wide aluminum frame. Necer knew they made bikes. Not sure which Columbia bike company it is though. Probably just their sticker on anothers frame. Again, does Shimano stamp each part with their name? Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure it does - each Shimano part on my bike says "Shimano".
Does it say anything else on the levers, cranks etc?
Is it a road bike or a mountain bike?

It is a hybrid, more a comfort bike. Suspension under the seat & on the front fork. But.....it is a store that they will not allow a test drive, afraid I will run off with it, and only is returnable if defective. All it had was a 3 letter abbreviation, and that was on the brakes and grips. I can go back and look closer too. I really dont think it was Shimano after looking thru a catalog, Bike Nashbar, that a friend gave to me. He told me thay were ok to buy from when they had a sale. Salesman said there was to be an ad this weekend, 99% sure this bike was to be on sale. Two bike stores in town, Trek at one and Schwinn and Raleigh at another. Thye will allow you to take the bikes out for a ride if it is dry out. Fellow that gave me the catalog said if they have Shimano components and alloy wheels that the rest should be of good quality. I'm just looking for a bike to use a few times a year not a daily thing. Though the way the gas prices are going, who knows. Thanks.

Didnt get the Columbia but went to [censored] and bought a Diamondback. Shimano and Sram and an Avenir saddle. Dont know much about the company. In business since 1978. Rode it about 8 miles last night.
