Well, no, it's not a step in the right direction. This "sport" has little
or nothing to do with the head injuries that do (very rarely) occur to
cyclists; and further, the "right steps" have already been taken, in that
population-level studies show no health benefit, and a possible health
cost, to the use of cycle helmets.

I trust, Carl, that you are once again tongue-in-cheek here, but just in
case the disadvantaged part of r.b.t.'s readership that ignores data and
calls for MHL's thinks you are serious, the above needed to be pointed out.

Let's not forget that the purpose of boxing is to induce brain injury
on the opponent (called KO), and the public realizing that these
people are generally poor and not "our kind" allow this "sport" to
take place. These youngsters are just imitating what they have seen.
