    Last night I went out on the MTB for a spin, ended up in some woods, criss-crossed with paths - I'd have no idea how to get out.

    So I switched the 305 onto the trace view (shows you a NSEW view of where you've been) and used it to find my way out.

    I thought I'd never use that function but have to say it was accurate!
