Get the Mongoose and then tell us how the SRAM Rival gear holds up. Some of us are dying to hear if it's at least as reliable as Shimano 105.

Seriously, the Bosberg looks like many of the generic compact carbon frames from Asia that are showing up with all sorts of labels. Check out the team issue bike at ProBikeKit.com to see what I mean. I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I favor the Mongoose because I've always been prejudiced against Fuji.

What is your pricepoint? Check out the Cannondale CAAD8s full Ultegra for around $1300. Can'd go wrong with that setup.

I'm going Rival from 105 so I will post a complete comparison in a couple of weeks when I get it. From what I hear, it is better than Ultegra.

Goes back to the early 70s when I sold Fujis in a sporting goods store where I worked. They were made nicely enough, but the frame proportions were all weird, very long stays and kinky forks. And that early Shimano and Sun Tour componentry was not elegant.

By the end of the decade, though, they had it pretty much together with a couple of nice pro bikes, and we all know how good Dura Ace is.

The Team Pro doesn't look shabby at all. Check out the frame dimensions, though. On the 58 and 61 cm frames, the Fuji top tubes are short compared to what's on most stock performance bikes these days. The Mongoose proportions are more typical. If it were my choice I'd be basing it on fit.

????? they must have changed their geometry around when they started using carbon - my husband had one for a while as it was one of the few that had a long enough top tube (he rides a 64cm) for his long arms/torso. He's got a Van Dessel now and still needs to swap the stem to a 130.... (fitter said it was the first time she's ever recommended a longer stem to anyone)

Both my husband and myself had Fuji's for a time. The are generally good value for the money spent on them. The hubby's was very light and an all around good performer. It just got to be a little on the old side for racing - alu frames do fatigue and who wants to take that chance. Mine was a WSD and while it was a great introduction to the world of bikes that fit me and was very well priced for what I got, (I won't say starter bike, since I've been riding since I was a kid, its just that I never really had a bike that fit properly until recently...) it was a bit heavy for the type of riding I now do - cause now I race too! When I decided I needed a better bike Specialized was the only company that made a high end bike that would even fit without going custom, so that's what I got - and I really do love it.

After basic quality and appropriateness for the type of riding, fit is key. I'm lanky and old, but I just sized down from a 61 cm Gios to a 58 cm Felt because the top tubes almost matched. With the seat post almost maxed out, my back is a bit flatter, but I'm in heaven because I've lost weight and my stomach no longer gets in the way of my breathing.

I'm tiny w/ long legs, short arms - I ride a 44cm - though I can stand over a 48 the top tube is far too long. The steeper seat tube on a 44cm with 700's suits my thigh length better than a 47cm with 650's. The varieties humans come in.....

basically i got the fuji after about 20 minutes or so on both...i liked the sram on the mongoose...kinda...it's just different than shimano i am used to...much lighter of a bike though...the mongoose is almost 2 pounds lighter weighing in at about 15.4...the team pro is 17.1..but what's two pounds for commuting and a maybe in a couple of months cat 5 crit guy.

the only thing that steered me away from the mongoose is the fact that this is thier first (i believe) carbon road bike...i looks like a giant compact frame (probably is) but i didn't want to go with a first year frame and the Fuji frame has won some awards so i probably doesn't suck.

as far as dimensions i have a weird frame...i am about 5'9" 165ish... freakishly long arms and short torso with about a 32" inseam....i like the compact geo of the mongoose but just couldn't go with it...
