Never skipped EVER with the Wippermans I had been using. But the attraction of the new narrow Campy chains (especially as a free Xmas gift) was too much. And I measure my chains when I replace them and they always seem to measure at or slightly UNDER (!?) the 12 inches/12 links standard (using a good caliper).

New chain and new cogset pretty much fixes any skipping chain issues. Tight link? Skipping on all cogs or some specific ones?Spacers in the right place thruout the cogset? B limit screw wouldn't make any difference with regards to skipping. Something is not allowing the chain to stay on the cogs selected. 'Skipping' you mean, staying on a cog and 'jumping teeth', but not trying to move to another cog?

I did misuse skipping... it was trying to jump to another cog... according to my riding buddies... had to stomp on it for it to happen.

Shifting was fine, and there was no noticeable chain noise, but when I tried to accelerate hard, the chain (according to my buddies) would jump about 3 cogs up...

Ummmm... I might not have been clear enough but the issue (jumping) did NOT occur with the new chain and used but fine 13-29 but DID occur with the new chain and new 13-26 cassette.

Ummmm... I might not have been clear enough but the issue (jumping) did NOT occur with the new chain and used but fine 13-29 but DID occur with the new chain and new 13-26 cassette.

Could also be the right lever as well. 'Clicks' crisp, as before or somewhat vague? If a spring breaks or the spring carrier splits, the lever doesn't hold the Rder onto a cog as effectively and frame flex can shift the chain up/down.
I bust software for a living and am having one of those red-faced moments where I was so sure just seconds ago.... It is best to face the music, suck it up and admit your error to the engineer.... or RBT, as the case may be.
Let me say this about the new narrow Campy chains: they are TOO good. Even way out of alignment, they are quieter than the Wipperman 6.1 mm chain ever was at best.
I adjusted the rear der yesterday and went for a ride. Perfect. Quiet. Shifts like a dream. No auto-shifting. I did a short but brutally steep climb and stood using what would normally be two gears too high for the hill. No hopping.
