Cracked Seat Post?

Imagine what it would be like for the post to break and your butt to come down on shards of the seat post, taking a core sample of your scrotum. :eek: If you can live with that possibility then go ahead and ride it.

Ouch....yeah, I think I'll get the Mountain Bike up and running!!! Just need to air up the tires.
I didn't realize that carbon was that delicate...glad I asked!!!

I dented a CSP with the split in the seat tube by over tightening the clamp on an al framed bike. I've since spun the clamp around 180 deg as is recommended by specialized.
I did repair the post by inserting an al tube around 50mm long in the area of clamping. I chamfered the ends of the insert to allow it to go past & push out the dent. Now done 8k ks without mishap touch wood.
