  1. Recently I began to experience minor pain at the quadricep tendon (vastus lateralis or Rectus Femoris?) - the outer side of my leg (but not so far out as the IT Band). The pain is very minor (2-3 out of 10), but I'd like to nip it early. I'm going to take 7-14 days easy.

Can anyone suggest what might have caused it (i.e. toes pointed in, toes pointed out, saddle too low, too high, far forward, etc.)? I really haven't changed anything with my position, but based on my training I'm not sure it is overuse.

    TKS in advance.

    Ben

  2. Bump!

I've got this pain too. Can't seem to find any help on it (not even from the Sport medicine clinic). I believe it's from racing too fast this season without building up my base. Gears were just too big?

I'm working on my 14th consecutive day of rest, ice, stretching and NSAIDS. No luck so far, 22minutes into a ride it begins to hurt again.

    Hope you get relief soon

  3. FWIW It could be sciatica you might want to try a stem with less reach and more rise or even a stem riser.
