I guess you can EITHER ride the wheels OR sell them on eBay & have a pair of 36h rims laced onto a set of Ultegra hubs.

If that is a new bike ... the LBS should have advised you as to the upper RECOMMENDED weight limit for the wheels.

Just don't dive into any corners like a criterium racer until you've got a few hundred miles on those wheels ... if the rims go out of true ... exercise the warranty and then sell the replacement wheels, etc.

You should think about 700x25 tires (700x28 would be better, but probably won't fit) since I reckon your bike was fitted with 700x23 tires.

I don't believe a product is going to explode at any second just because your above the "weight limit" for a product. These things are designed to be thrashed in harsh conditions by pros, so aren't going to self destruct because of a dozen extra kg.

What is more likely is an increased need for maintaince, ie re trueing, and if your unlucky you are more likely to break a spoke than a lighter guy. Shimano and mavic wheels are known to break the odd spoke reguardless of your weight.

When you buy light weight stuff mostly its going to be less durable, when your a big guy things are going to be less durable again. Look after your gear and it will look after you.

I personally would not have got the mavics, but many people consider them to be bomb proof. If you look after them they will probably keep you happy with thier performance.
