How much is that in litres? 🙂 I went to school at the time when everything was going metric;
although I guess this is a sizeable amount of booze.

I must say I am impressed by this; as I had never considered the Brompton to be much of a load
carrier; although a very innovative machine. Seems fairly popular in Reading as well..

A firkin is 72pints, I don't know what that is is foreign measurements ;-)

The beer is an unused unopened cask from a beer festival I was helping organise and had to be moved
from my garage to a local pub. Luckily it's only half a mile and almost pan flat otherwise I would
have used my tourer or Trice (9" bottom gear).

I carried it in my Vitelli trailer which works great around town for lighter loads on the brommie
but for longer distances, or hilly routes, IMO the Brompton is not really up to the task.

I am now using the trailer regularly for trips to supermarket, dump, scout hut, and other
general uses. It's load capacity is 60kg. Along with the brommie it is one of the most useful
buys I have made.

9 gallons in english! 40.896 litres. A gallon of water weighs 10lb, (4.5kg) zoider a bit more, I
should think.
