  1. Next door gave me a bike, (well BSO really) so stripped it and
lovingly applied a paint scheme (ok I hand brushed Hammerite onto it)
now I have a "pub bike" even though I am teatotal. Don't look to close
    at the paint finish.
Maps of Edinburgh and environs, as I live 500 miles from London so
have no need of an A to Z (Dispensation No 84739) and as I hate Marmite
have included some OXOs and to lay to rest any rumours that my kitchen
is too tidy have left a couple of tools lying about.

Why can't you get derailleur guards like that any more? :-)

I made a potentailly grave mistake by buying the largest possible Marmite
jar for my pRon shots. Thankfully I managed to develop a taste for the
    stuff....

Your kitchen is still far too tidy. I fell compelled to pay you a visit and
liberally sprinkle crumbs, desicated cocunut, coffee grounds, spices and
other detritus to give it the lived in look :-)

I reckon on a good day [1] one could make an interesting drink from the work
    surface scrapings in our kitchen.

    Because you can?

Whilst sheltering from a shower (and waiting for wife to `do a bit of
shopping`), I noticed two types of those guards in ..... HALFORDS !

That looks like a good, serviceable, thief-resistant paint job. Best of

You can also get them in the rather more PC Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op -
along with a statement about their "merits".

Nah, the guards they have/talk about are held on by the wheel the one in
my pic actually uses the rack bosses so are rigidly fixed and do not
interfere with the wheel fixing at all.

As can be seen that saddle is not the most servicable so may well change
it or at least cover it in tape (sweaty bum time) to cover up the rips
and stop water getting in this will have the added bonus of covering up
    the "Apollo"

A little too staged for my liking ... and far too tidy. And twist grip ..

It adds 'body' to soups and stews very nicely. I wouldn't dream of trying
    it with eggs.

Something not to try is molasses - now that *is* foul.

It's difficult to get a natural pose in an unaturally tidy kitchen ;-)

Staged! Of course it is staged, I don't normally keep any bike in the
    kitchen.

Kitchen (more a heating food up room) is always like that.

    And twist grip ..
True, but it was donated to me and it is a "pub bike for a teatotaler".

Tell that to the people of Boston, Massachusetts, who suffered the Great

    nooooo!!!!!!

An untidy kitchen is often the source of emergency rations long forgotten
and lodged in otherwise uninspected crannies.
