TCI (Touring Club Italiano) regional maps show tunnels and a lot of
other detail, like the small secondary or tertiary roads that frequently
bypass tunnels with a lot of climbing and meandering. Get TCI maps from
www.trektools.com.I've also used Google Earth once I located a tunnel, just to see what I
was dealing with.mark

TCI (Touring Club Italiano) regional maps sYes, but be sure you are looking at the recentmost edition of the
1/20000 TCI Atlas. New tunnels are being built or just made by joining
previous shorter stretches.
Also, be aware: not all of them are lit. And some may indeed be
dangerous.Serio

Does anyone have a good resource that identifies where the tunnels are
in Italy in the Alps and Dolomites? When I was faced with a tunnel through the Alps during my bicycling trip
from Italy to Germany through Austria, I elected to take the train through
the tunnel instead. The reason is I bicycled through a tunnel somewhere
else once and I didn't like it.
