Ive been teaching my little sis how to jump, she can jump off things about a half foot tall, But she cant jump in place, I taught her how to jump, she can do it, and 2 times in a row, should i just keep on going like tht, does jumping in place just come with getting better at rolling hops?

Jumping in place is good practice for getting more comfortable with jumping in general. It is a good idea for her to learn that. If she can get good at that then she will probably progress in juming a lot faster.
