I was going to go last year but they don't confirm the course until around about 4-3 weeks before the race. You might remember in 2004 they changed the course so Armstrong would ride. They often wait for what the riders are looking for before deciding on the best route.

...ah the French way! Oh well I will be there anyway so I will wait for them to to release the course

Although this year expect to see d'Huez or at least Ventoux... if the Amstel Gold Race was anything to go by these smaller races are great to get up close and personal with the riders... so much more relaxed and way less fans than the Tour or Giro.... I will be going myself when they release the route... Every year they go through Grenoble as its at the foothill of the Alps so you can plan a holiday to there and work your way to the stages... fantastic place, wonderful scenery and the food is nothing short of brilliant... oh and if you’re riding your bike it’s the best place in the world to be….. (so I’m told)

- If you hang out in Grenoble it makes a great base for all the stages.....
