2 small badgers killed on the A4074 within the same half mile stretch
yesterday.
That's 3 roadkill badgers around Oxford's ring-roads this week alone. Are
there more badgers about this year compared to previous or is it just me?

I did see a squashed tortoise once, in Turkey.

The most certainly do live in Yorkshire. I saw my very first dead one on
the CTC's 150km York Rally Audax just outside Strensall in 2005. In fact it
was only my second sighting of a badger. The first sighting was of one
rummaging through the detritus of a supermarket waste/refuse area in the
early hours of the morning as I staggered home from a night club in
Darlington only just outside of Yorkshire. Since then I've seen them around
Selby, Harrogate, Otley, Beverley and other places in Yorkshire leading me
to believe that they are more common than I thought. Sadly from the second
sighting onwards, all my badgers have been dead :-( -

the A40 northern bypass and its cycle track as well. Perhaps they
are being flushed out by the floods. -

..... Ah, David may have been at it again - one of the badgers I referred to
was on the road just outside Inkberrow in Worcestershire where the Archers
