Shimano/Campy bar end shifter question

  1. Ok, I did some searching and couldn't find much on the subject so here goes. I am planning on putting mostly Campy on my Colnago TT bike i'm currently building. My intergrated aero bar setup already has Shimano Dura ace bar end shifter with them. Will the Shimano shifters work with the rest of the drivetrain being Campy?

    Any help from the great members here appreciated. I love these forums as they really help out a newbie like myself.

  2. I actually am in a similar situation. From my team mechanic I was told that my Shimano bar end shifters will not be compatible when I switch it over to Campy. My bike came with full Shimano components and all of the team wheels are Campy (my normal road bike is also campy). I was told I need to switch the bar end shifters to the Record ones, a 10 speed rear der, switch the freehub, and then get a new Campy cassette.
