Bruce Gilbert said:The solution is quite obvious. We need the Combat Cycling League. Lots of
blood, lots of drugs, lots of destruction, lots of down-home good family
fun! Why, there could be awards for the most innovative drug cocktails,
lightest bikes, best takedowns, longest skids, highest speeds, best tattoos
and matching jerseys. Next, Vegas needs to get involved. That is where the
money will come from. Circuit night races on the Vegas strip! Bright lights,
big [censored] and world class buffet action. You want to make cycling popular?
Give us the type of thing we can really understand! The formula is simple:
Money, Sex, Drugs, Violence and great buffets! What's the problem with that
I ask? UCI? We can give them a small cut, maybe...
I know, I know, I keep bringing it up, but this is a slight
alteration.
Pursuits on figure 8s. No medical until they crawl off the track.
Second bonuses for secondary hits on subsequent passes.
We could call it, "Pursuit of the Survivor".
The trick part of it is (I think) being second through (pursuits with
trackstands!), just enough to get the rear wheel, and we would have to
decide what would be a legal takedown. Really nasty looking leather
gloves with spikes would be a great visual, but wiping off sweat could
be tricky.
I think we really need to look at tag team pursuit, or Devil take the
hind most as well.
