Hello,
On my mountain bike when i pedal hard it rubs on my frame. The hub is
loose. can this be tightened or is it broken bearings? it is a trek
4300.
Probably cheaper and easy to just get a new hub? do new wheels come
with sprockets or do i have to pull my old ones off?

likely that it's contaminated inside. You can tighten it back up yourself
if you just need it to work, but if you're feeling adventurous and truly
want the hubs to work well, these links should show you the way.http://www.parktool.com/repair/readhowto.asp?id=105

thanks phill, that looks too hard, how much is a standard new rim, i
think that would be a better option, the wheel has already done around
4000-5000k's. -

should be able to adjust it for you for $5-$10 USD or less and it should
stay adjusted for quite a while if they do it right.--
