Hello,
I've recently had some problems with my Dura-Ace SL-7700 shift-levers.
Yesterday during a century, the rear derailler cable sheared off inside the shifter. Luckily, the
support crew had a spare cable and helped me fix it. It was a [censored] getting the sheared off cable
end out of the shifter. Since then, when ever I downshift (move to a larger rear cog), the cap of
the shifter shifts latteraly, preventing the lever from returning to its proper position. I
litterally had to move it back with my hand for the rest of the ride.
This morning I took it apart again and sprayed WD-40 in there and worked with it, but I still have
the same problem.
Is there anything I can do myself? Or should I send them back to Shimano to have them waranteed?
Thanks in advance,
- Boyd S.
