  1. What's a safe level of iron to use in supplements? I eat a less-than-average amount of red meat, but don't have a known iron deficiency. Just seems like I should have a great iron intake than what shows up in my diet and daily vitamins.

  2. Males dont often have to worry about being iron deficient, as long as your diet is somewhat decent you should be fine.

  3. From a medical perspective more patients will present with iron excess problems than do with Fe deficiencies . More is not better. If you live in the Pacific NW you will rust - no kiddin !

  4. This is why it is good for males to be blood donours: it is actually good for our health to lower our iron level.

If you don't have a known iron deficiency, then you don't need supplemental iron.
