We did not take notes or keep a diary. Some people do, note how far the gone each day, how much
altitude they gained, what temperatures there were, what their pulse rates were, etc., etc., (have
even seen a heart rate chart published on the web, utterly boring unless it is Lance´s). We don´t,
as we are far too busy enjoying the present, the biking. We bike for the fun of biking, not for the
record. We have normal bike computers, one with an altimeter, a couple of times I jotted down the
maximum altitude we reached, but just a few times, thinking it could be useful later.

However, we saved all local info we got our hands on, all maps and brochures, and then used them
together with the photos to reconstruct the trip. I am still adding some stuff: e.g., links to
useful sites.
