1. Hi all I cant decide witch uni to get.Ivebeen thinking about getting a
new kh or doing something custom because.I want something diffrent and
I want to build a wheel.I think this is what I would build up

grey KH street saddle
cf base
kh post
white koxx clamp
black kh 07 frame
koxx 140mm crankset
white tryall rim (is it that weak)
14gauge black spokes
tryall tire
pedals mabe some welgo mg50's

the main things im not shure about are cranksets how do you like the
straight cranks on the koxx are they less stable than cranks with some
q factor because im used to the older kh cranks with a lot of q actor
Thanks Teddy

2.
grey KH street saddle
cf base
WHICH ONE?
kh post
white koxx clamp
black kh 07 frame
VERY NICE FRAME.
koxx 140mm crankset
GOOD OVERALL CRANKSET, VERY LIGHT AND GOOD FOR TRIALS. THERE IS SOME
Q-FACTOR, BUT NOT MUCH. FOR STREET, GET THE STREET KOXX 135S. THEY HAVE
MORE Q
white tryall rim (is it that weak)
NOT A GOOD CHOICE. I GOT ONE AND I WISH I DIDN'T. GET THE REINFORCED
ONE, IT MAY ADD A FEW GRAMS, BUT IT'S WORTH IT.
14GAUGE BLACK SPOKES
TRYALL TIRE
AGAIN, THIS IS MOSTLY FOR TRIALS. A LUNA IS CHEAPER AND BETTER FOR
STREET.
pedals mabe some welgo mg50's
My opinion.

Most retarded - unhelpful post ever. Shut up if aren't going to help.

The CF base is always a very nice thing to have. It makes it so much
stiffer. I would go with the KH crankset. It is a good mix of street
and trials, 137s. It doesn't really go well with your color scheme. You
could always get a blue koxx1 clamp, blue kh seat, black kh frame. Be a
mighty fine beast. If you are going to go for the drilled Koxx1 rim, I
would get the KH one as it is the same thing, but half the price. Go to
Kris's website.

Tip for wheel building: use brass nipples. The aluminum ones might look
real cool and colorful, but they strip. Not good. Also, dab each spoke
in grease before you put in the nipple.

6. i thought the kxx 140mm cranks dont have any q factor. i have them.

if anything i think they have a slight negative q factor, in that the
part you put your pedal in is slightly behind the end of the crank

Have some respect, he was pointing out the lack of a hub in his parts
list.

unigrinin did not post a hub. Since you can use the Kris Holm 2007 hub
with the Koxx cranks, then you can't just assume he's going to use the
Koxx hub.

Crankset = hub and cranks. Koxx1 crankset is the koxx1 hub and cranks.

ooooooooooo snap BURN you went theer BOY .
only the koxx hubs fit koxx cranks becase ther not true isis.
well mabe I should just go with the stock kh iff im just going to go
with stock parts anyway. ya I think the kh rim is a little better than
the koxx becase it is eylited and it is made off a stronger alloy.
Thanks for the wheel build info danni i was probaly going to use
aluminum
nipples I forgot how aluminum strips so easily.
And will I have to use 13gauge spokes with the kh hub and rim or dose
the hole sizing not matter that much?

10. i'd like someone to define "true isis", i hear it fliying around a lot.

who's to say they arent true isis, and that kh and other ones arent
actually true isis.

maybe they both are isis, just of a different spec.

True isis is suppost to be a universal size. Any isis cranks should fit
on any other isis's cranks. Isis is originally from bike freewheels,
and has been passed on to unicycles. So any isis bike cranks will fit
on a kh moment hub, but not on a koxx.

13. Q is how far out the crank goes. like the KH has q, so the pedal end
crank is further away from the uni than the hub end of the crank is.
more q means better control but less speed.

16. Q-Factor is the width between both pedals.

That being said, all cranks setups will have a Q-factor of some sort,
ome will just be bigger, and other may not.

Then again, if you get a UW, there would be virtually no Q-factor,
cause there is no width inbetween the pedals.

Anyways, it sounds nice. Rim wise, you could do better, but the Koxx is
still a great choice. Its mainly down to Crankset choice. KH moments
are nice and come in 125s or 137s. !25s for more street and speed, 137
for more trials and control. Both can be used for whatever you want,
and wont hamper your ability.

Either way, KH or Koxx, its gonna be good.
