  1. I'm haveing alot of troubles with my polar s620 watch with cycling sensors. The watch seems to pick the cadence and speed etc. up sometimes and not others. So I was wondering what would be a good cycle computer for say $100-120 AUS

  2. Don't know what they go for in Australia, but I have had good experiences with the wireless VDO line (it is one of the simpler ones - speedo, avg speed, kms, that sort of thing). Much more reliable than my polar C200!

  3. I've also been happy with my VDO C3DS, which has the optional cadence sensor for wireless speed and cadence.

    It occasionally experiences brief interference where the speed and cadence indicators go to 0 for a few seconds, possibly related to being near HV power lines. But even when this happens, the sensor/transmitters are still counting wheel and crank revolutions, and they send the accumulated data as soon as the interference goes away. So, no data is lost, that might give incorrect averages, or an inaccurate count of miles traveled.

    I have the C4DS but did not install a cadence sensor with it. As a result and every so often, I would see the cadence display brought up when a pelaton goes past. Although reading zero, it must have picked up something to get it excited. 😄

    Sorry, didn't attempt to covert AUS to US, but I just got the Garmin Edge 305 and fell in love with it instantly. completely wireless with speed cadence, HRM it rocks. Just the fact I know the speed is balls on accurate rocks, it takes the tire speed and gps speed and automatically calcualtes tire size and magnet placememnt on wheels, so when on trainer indoors speed is accurate. post ride download of numerous stats is awesome. I could go on all day about it. Well, worth the few extra dollars. Last really like the fact it mounts on the stem vice handlebar.

    Another Note on Price. I ordered a Garmin Forerunner 305 and Edge 305 from www.thetwistergroup.com they have the best prices and delivery was FAST! went through Nextag and Bizrate for price search, and they are highly recognized and reliable. Again, GREAT Prices!
