  1. I have found a Schwin Road Bike, it has (what I remember) 8spd rear cog,700x25 wheelset and a
    Shimano derauiler setup RSX (I think). The frame looks to be in good shape, however I think the
    wheelset is a trade out for something that may have been better than what is on it now. I will have
    more info on the bike tomorrow. Would this be a worthwhile purchase while waiting to get a new bike?
    The frame is Chromoly. Thanks, Dennis

    Question, does it fit? If it does not fit, then nothing else really matters. If you're not sure,
    find a good LBS that knows how to do a fitting and find out what exactly do you need....

    Also, how much?

  4. I have checked out the bike and here's the info: Schwinn Paramount Series 3 PDG Chromoly Precision
    Butted Tubes (gold badge says that) I measured the frame and it is a 53 c/c seat tube; 56 c/c top
    tube. It has a 7 spd rear cassette (don't know if it is freewheel or hub), double chain ring;
    shimano FCA550 Cranks; Shimano RX100 front/rear brakes, and RX100 fron/rear derauliers, and hubs.
    700x23 wheelset. wheels have ARAYA 700C Japan stamped on them. I only paid 50.00 for this bike, and
    from what I can tell, I will need new tires and tubes for now. This bike is so much lighter than
    what I had been riding and even shifts and brakes better than what I was riding. Two other plusses:
    I can ride this thing as is, cause it fits, and it has Look Pedals. The number on the pedals are:
    K0425 and now that I look closer, they are Shimano 1056 pedals.

    Sounds like a bargain.
