look at the bike in daylight those rims do look dodgy. 🙂 -

line. And the slight ripple under the down tube that you can feel when
you run your fingers down it. Spoils the geometry of th whole bike, and
it has subjected the frame and forks to extra fatigue... ...headset
bearings... ...etc... -

authority's responsibility, but the local water company's.I'd contact the council first because if it does belong to a water
company they will be able to tell you this and if they knew about it
the water co. may also be due a fine for not maintaining their
equipment.Your claim would definately be one of the more believeable ones - I
heard of someone claiming that a manhole cover had erupted like a
geyser under his car at the split second he drive over it, damaging all
sorts of bits and then the cover fell back down exactly into the frame.peter

followed after a while by failure, usually at the drive side. -
I'm going to take a picture of the pothole tonight and send it to
the council and see what they say. The bike is in pretty much perfect
nick but I spent a fortune on my wheels specifically to avoid them
getting buckled everytime I go over a bump.
I was very lucky the road was quiet I was thrown across the road
with 2 flat tires, so apart from 2 inner tubes there isn't much I can
claim of the council. But I do think that the hole should be fixed
soon. In fact I might take a picture of every pothole on my commute and
send them to the relavent councils. I don't know if any of you cycle up
Green Lanes near Turnpike Lane in London but there is an enormous pit
trough nevermind hole at the junction. If you don't know the hole is
there and there's standing water, you'd sink down to your bottom
bracket !! -

replacement underpants? -

morning raining and blowing and 2 tires to replaces there were alot of
emotion especially when I realized after fixing the front wheel the
rear was blown too! -
