  1. I have a Tubus Cargo rack that I'm very happy with and have a
question about the purpose of the two threaded bosses that are at the
back of the rack. They're a couple inches ahead of the rear bracket
that would accept a blinky/reflector. There is a threaded boss on each
side rail pointed downward. The threads accept the same size bolt that
is used to secure the rack to an eyelet.

I currently use these bosses (with bolts attached) as a stop for my
Ortlieb panniers since a normal positioning puts the bags too close to
my feet. I would rather the stop be on the top of the rack but it
seems to be working so far. I might even fabricate something that could
    make use of these bosses.

Does anyone know why Tubus put them there? Is there an accessory that
uses these bosses? Touring the Tubus web site gave no information.

    Thanks!

Those are for mounting an accessory that Tubus doesn't seem to share much information about. It is for a Pletcher style spring loaded clamp accessory.
You must have one of the newest models of the Cargo, as those eyelets were not there in previous versions.
