I'm just wondering if anyone knows any good bunch rides in Brisbane.. I'm up staying with the out-laws for the week and decided to take my bike to avoid the boredom..
    Any suggestions would be appreciated..

    Hi mate,

www.roadgrime.com - this is the SE Qld roadie resource site. Follow the
links to the 'rides & routes' section. Also check out the 'organise a
ride' section in the forums, as a few rides get organised there as
    well.....

    Cheers,
    Abby

  3. Which suburb are you in?
During the break, there are rides going from Cycleogical in West End
every day at 6am - not today of course in the pissing rain.

I'm staying in Ascot at the moment.. I'm sure I could make it to the West End for 6am though if there's a ride..
    Thanks for the info..

Escort, hey? (plum in mouth and little finger out) ;-)

You could also duck into Park Road, Milton. Every morning there's
various bunches leaving from La Dolce Vita (faux Eiffel Tower) or
Peleton Cycles (around corner), at 5.30, 5.45 and 6.00. The Wednesday
Worlds from LDV at 6am is a classic, with a slower bunch leaving 15
    mins earlier, I think.

To get there from where you are, go Kingsford Smith Drive, L into Ann
St through the Valley and the city, R on Roma St, L on Milton Road, L
on Cribb St, first R to Park Rd, L for 100m. Leave yourself 30 min plus
some for getting lost. Take some $ for coffee and fruit toast with the
    crew after.

David, I hope you hook up for a few good rides. If you feel like a longer
ride there are a few of us heading out for a long ride tomorrow from Dolce
Vita at 6am. Probably heading south to Mt Tamborine, round trip is approx
    160km.

Maybe some of the LardeArse crew can make it?

Not this little Bunny, 160km is way too far for me ! I might do Daisy Hill as soon as it's dry enough though, in a few days time.

If you were there, we didn't see you, sorry. Adam, Rhino and I left
about 6.05+. It started to rain at about 20 km. At around 65 km, I
couldn't see much from all the spray and turned around to ride home
alone. In a drought, you can't wish the rain would go away, but can I
wish it would only rain in the afternoon, during the Christmas break?

Just enough rain to keep us off the bikes - my tank has hardly increased its level at all, despite 24+ hours of light rain. Less than 10mm in my pool 🙁
