Why does the /russian url take us to the page on comfortable bike seats?

Russians appreciate comfort!
Yes, a friend of mine who was in a Soviet airborne unit who got dropped inside an armored carrier from an airplane in Afghanistan would agree.

Ahha, this is comfortable as in the Real Man saddle.
At first I wondered why the Kent Denali didn't come with a Real Man Saddle as original equipment, and then I remembered that the Denali is a GMC truck; it's Chevy that uses the slogan "Like a rock".

There was one that was not on your list, but I tried it anyway. It redirected me to lirpa, which you did list. IMHO, those are your best pages and best products. 😉

Not only that, but they named their biggest, ugliest urban cowboy wannabee pickup truck/SUV thing the "Avalanche".
What is an avalanche?
It's what happens when you pile a bunch of [censored] up so high it can't support its own weight. Too fitting, really.

The "professional web designers" probably think that this URL is so natural.
Those "professional web designers" probably think it's a copyright violation not to come in through the front door and spend 30 minutes clicking down a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

Thank you for this good design.
If I want, for example, page on ST-6600 Ultegra levers on Shimano site, what you'd think is the URL? cycle.shimano.com/ST-6600? No, it is

Remember, a lot of those wogs spent the ill begotten days of their youth wanking away playing Dungeons and Dragons and other such pastimes. Mouse in one hand and... well we wont go there.
The concept of "intuitive" is totally foreign to them. You have to drill down through many complex layers to find a simple bit of info... that's what the game is all about!.
It used to be: If you can't do, teach. If you can't teach, teach teachers!
Now, if you can't hold a job write code. If you can't write code become a project manager!

That is precisely why, when it came time for me to launch a web site, I chose the simple is better approach.Granted, it's just a tiny site, but my target audience are not the X Box player type, and the simple, even rustic look is quite suitable. Nothing irritates me more than flashy graphics that are nearly impossible to navigate through when they exist for no other reason than to showcase the talents of their creator. When I go on line, it's for information, not to be entertained. It is a great credit to Sheldon that he has managed to organize such a vast resource in such a user friendly fashion. Thanks, but my purpose was not self promotion, rather to underline the point that when it comes to information sources, simple formats are best. Something Sheldon has shown can be done on a grand scale. It's something many of the big companies have yet to learn. Dan Burkhart www.boomerbicycle.ca

I got your point but your shop still looks good. I do a lot of online research on various materials. If I'm looking for info on an exotic plastic or alloy and I have someone waiting on the phone for some quick answers, I don't want to have to wait while a bunch of Flash and Shockwave animations load!

They do not design it for your convenience, they design it for their convenience.
Well, in the defense of computer lackeys everywhere, often we know better but Marketing has their way. Now, flash intro screens? Those are usually web-designers individual fault. I personally think they should be dragged across broken glass laced with tabasco sauce and then gently educated in the error of their ways with a tire iron.
-- Dane Buson - [email hidden] There is, in fact, no reason to believe that any given natural phenomenon, however marvelous it may seem today, will remain forever inexplicable. Soon or late the laws governing the production of life itself will be discovered in the laboratory, and man may set up business as a creator on his own account. The thing, indeed, is not only conceivable; it is even highly probable. -- H.L. Mencken, 1930
