them, so maybe not suitable for a one-off. I think it cost ~£20-ish.

Aluminium wont rust, but it can still corrode (surface only) and look a
mess. Humbrol (model shops) do a wide range of colours, so getting a
match isn't so difficult.

It costs about £25. You'll need a bike box free from your local bike shop,
and bits of pipe lagging or similar to protect the frame from scratches.
Reinforcing the box with gaffer tape is also a good idea.

Fortunately I never had to send the bike as the buyer was local but many
courier firms have limits on the dimensions of the package, so check the
small print.

And don't forget the spacers for the forks and drop-outs...
