Hi guys,
Can I use a campy cassette on a shimano hub???
My bike has the Xenon group, but my rear hub is noisy and the lokal bike shop has some shimano wheels at good prices. Are they compatible.

You have to use a conversion cassette to run a Shimano wheel with Campy. So far the best I've found was the American classic ones from Lickbike? for $70.

If the hub needs to be "serviced" then YOU can probably do it to a point ... at the very least, to quiet the pawls a little, drip some 3-in-1/Household-weight oil into the junction between the hub-body and the freehub body (not much will get in ... this may be more of a placebo-effect exercise) ... and/or, with the wheel out of the frame, drip a little of the same weight oil down the axle's OUTSIDE (not down the skewer hole!) ... some oil will get past the seals.
Don't disassemble the hub because the three pawls (which are what you are probably hearing) will go flying ...
Wheels Manufacturing ALSO makes a Shimano-to-Campagnolo cassette which fits on most Shimano freehubs.
