You seem to use MS OE 6, so if you use IE as well, then you may be interested in visiting
tinyurl.comtinyurl.comOpen ↗
It can put a button on your address bar (IE) such that when you're on a page like Ebay with an
extremely long link, click on the button and a tiny URL is produced, such that your (correct) ebay
link becomes ..
Makes it just a tad easier .. 😉

And if you get a copy of OE QuoteFix or a decent newsreader you can save yourself the embarrassment
of top-posting as well :-D

Anyways, that tinyurl.com is good. Better than makeashorterlink because they stick the new URL in
the clipboard.
