  1. Just a quick question - does the SRM Powercontrol V have a backlight? I'm thinking of replacing my Ergomo Pro, but I do a lot of night riding and have become quite accustomed to using the backlight. I'd hate to have a $2000+ PM on my handlebar right next to my Radio Shack flashlight!

    Thanks,
    Dave

If you really need to see the display in the dark (e.g. this winter I was doing some early morning intervals in the dark where I did want PM guidance), then what I did was use a small white LED - the ones with the rubber band that typically go round your handlebar or stay - and mounted it on front of my helmet pointing down to shine on the PM. I had to mount my normal headlight below the PM (the HID interefered with the PM CPU). I subsequently found the main cause of interference was the light battery and not the light itself.
