My 7spd came with RX100 hubs. I think RX100 was also made for other speeds. Not sure if there is any
difference between the hubs. My wheel has 126mm spacing. The number on it is FH-A550.

Looks like there were seven speed FH-A550 and eight speed FH-A551 rear hubs in the RX-100 range. If
it's the former, seven is obviously OK. If it's the latter, you'll need a spacer. Check the OLD
(over lock nut) distance on the hub.

When RX100 first came out, it was a 7 speed hub. Within a year or two, Shimano changed it to a 8
speed hub (130mm). Wheels MFG makes a spacer that allows you to put a 7 speed cassette onto an 8 (or
9) speed hub.
