Finally!!!!!!

Just when you thought it was too good to be true, it was.

Sue Palmer-Komar will NOT be retiring after all.

Sue informed us, "I won't be winning races so much, I don't think, but I can help Tina (Pic) win her races - I love leading her out; because you know she isn't going to let you down, she will win. I realized that I miss the girls on the team, and that I love being a part of that."

There's a friggin' shocker! Sue won't be winning many races. What's new?

Here is another revelation, "I want to learn more about it (managing), because as a rider you take it for granted, and I know there is so much involved. I want to look at opportunities in coaching as well (Palmer-Komar holds a degree in Exercise Physiology)."

"There is so much more involved in managing." Really! Daaah.....

Palmer-Komar racing tactics: use the biggest gear you possibly can, grind it out at very slow cadence at the most inopportune times of the race, be in front when it doesn't matter and get passed near the line, then proclaim you had great spirit out there......

Yup, that's what you want to be teaching up and coming young riders. Cycling in Canada is doomed.

A Chat with Sue Palmer-Komar

At the Road Worlds last month in Salzburg, Sue Palmer-Komar indicated that this would probably be her last year at such an elite level. This seemed to be confirmed when Colavita/Sutter Home p/b Cooking Light announced their 2007 team and Palmer-Komar was missing from the roster.

However, it turns out that this was just while Palmer-Komar sorted out her plans for the next season, which do include returning to the squad on a flexible program.

"They didn't put my name on the team (when they announced the 2007 squad) because I hadn't signed with them yet. After some time at home I felt like I wanted to ride next year, but at the same time move into coaching and managing. The team is really good, and allowing me to do that."[/font]

My point Ed is really that you are belittling people in public. And what really irks me is that you were booted out of cycling forums, so you signed up right after as "Fausto'. You were booted off for a reason. If you want to come back, at least "play nice".

Let's keep going Ed and say everything that should be said. I am not a great cyclist, nor do I purport to be. As a result, I would not belittle someone who can come in 75th at a world-class race. On the flipside, great athletes also don't say "The competition sucks - I am better than everyone else".

Now regarding your posts, why did you join cycling forums again after being booted off? Why did you sometimes mention "Ed" in your posts like you are not him (both here and as Raving Gnome at Canadian Cyclist)? Just curious!
