  1. I'm pleased to finally be able to announce the first session of the
revived Bristol Freaks unicycle hockey club. For those of you near
other Bristols around the World, this is the one in the south west of
    England.

8:30pm, Wednesday 25 October, at the St Pauls Community Sports Academy
    on Newfoundland Road. http://tinyurl.com/y6o8n2

The cost for this session will be GBP4.00 per person, though this may
be reduced for subsequent sessions, depending on the level of
attendance. In fact, the venue and time slot may also vary from week to
week, as it's not possible to make a regular booking until January.

Unicycles used in the hall must have clean, non-marking tyres (I'll
bring a rag to clean them in case of rain), and plastic-ended pedals
and saddles (I have a couple of spare pairs of plastic saddles I can
    lend).

I know there are a lot of unicyclists in and around Bristol who don't
read this list, so please spread the word to anyone who might be
interested. Please also bring spare hockey sticks if you have them, as
I'm hoping to recruit some new blood on the Bristol to Bath ride this
    weekend.

  2. Might be worth cross posting this to Rec.juggling as a lot of
bristolians read that and although they only ride casually it might
    encourage a few of them.

Probably better still to post it to the bristol_jugglers mailing list.
Are you on that list, Pete, or shall I post it?

Done. And in a few weeks I may be able to get a colleague along. I
discovered at lunchtime that one of our support staff has bought a
unicycle in order to get fit. When I suggested giving hockey a try
once he starts to get the hang of riding, he seemed very keen.
