Chain tensioners

    Hi all, I'd like to find a chain tensioner that works with a triple cog
    crank setup. Reason being is when I ride downhill, the chain slaps around
    everywhere and its getting annoying. When I ride my SS, its soooooo quiet.
    I could go for a single cog crank setup, but that limits my uphill ability.
    I dont really want to have a downhill only bike plus I allready have a
    single speed so would like to keep this bike geared.

    All I can find on the net so far is the single cog crank setup. Does anyone
    know of one that suits a triple??

    Search for a boxguide. It's exactly what you need.

    Shimano XT and a Lizard skin 🙂

    Problem is it hits the front derailleur as well...

    Does anyone know if a Rockwerks double trouble guide works with a triple?

    A Truvativ unit? they make a chain guide shift guide and box guide.
    Neither of which I can find any info on whether they support a triple cog
    crank. I've found on a non truvativ page that the shift guide supports 2
    cogs, but nothing is mentioned on the truvativ page...

    The other potential problem is I run a Shimano XT crankset and the Truvativ
    guides state they bolt up to a Truvativ BB which has extenal to BB bearings
    and probably wont fit.

    are you talking about the ones that bolt up to the chainstay? Problem here
    is I have rectangular shaped chainstays, all the ones I've found all bolt up
    to round chainstays..

    Yes I have a lot of problems 🙂

    Well I did find out that the Truvativ chain guide works with a triple.
    Unfortunately only with a truvativ crank. DOH!!!!!

    Well I've found one, but only one!

    Its a Heim 3 Ring Chain Guide, 50 bucks so cheaper than most of the rest.

    See how it goes when it arrives!
