  1. Were any of you there over the weekend? I hear it was, um, interesting.
It ended up being the 8 Hours of Moab, stopped due to flooding.
    Sounded brutal!

    Matt (glad I wasn't there)

I was there. It rained the week prior (also). The road to Barlet's Wash
was washed out - we had a 4x4 and was able to get around but they had a
years worth of rain during the month of October...

I was there but not at the race. We were going to go there on Saturday
night to laugh at them. Then we found out it was canned. They tried to
start it up about 12 hours later but too many people had left.

I was, but not involved in the race. Did some fun riding with some new
friends, then crashed and broke my arm 🙁

6-8 weeks of power work on the legs.

Oh no! Terrible news! Which bone(s)?
I did a number on my right ulna once. Hopefully yours isn't in the elbow
    joint like mine was.
Hope you make a speedy recovery!

In fact it was in the joint. Now you are scaring me.

Ooh, sorry. So was it an ulna fracture? Surgery? Mine was shattered so
hopefully (again) yours wasn't. I had to have surgery on it twice and
had 8 pieces of hardware in it for a while. I know the problems with
elbows are specific to different types of injuries so if your docs
haven't been coaching you about the hard road ahead, maybe yours wasn't
severe enough or the right type. I was told not to expect to use my
right arm much after that one (I showed /them/!).

Maybe now more people will realize that he's nothing more than a
profiteering scumbag who doesn't even ride.

Ouch. Heal well and quickly. One of these trips up here we'll actually get together for a ride when you're healed!

I'm not riding today with 7" of snow on the ground but it's melting fast so Friday may be a good day.

Thanks guys. It happens, I'll live.
Already planning trips to snow free regions in a couple of months.
